Organic Farming Learning Community

Cultivating Knowledge,
Growing Together

OH-FINE is a platform where anyone involved in organic food — farmers, consumers, businesses, advisors — can ask questions and get trusted answers, practical tools, and expert connections to support Europe's organic transition.

Is Organic Farming right for me?

We know this is an important decision. That's why we've created a tool that analyzes your situation and gives you a clear answer based on real data, not opinions.

Tell us about your farm. In less than 10 minutes, you'll find out:

  • Whether the transition makes economic sense for you.
  • What grants or financial support you can apply for.
  • What technical challenges you may face.
  • What steps to take if you decide to move forward.

Why Organic Matters — And Why It's Not Happening Fast Enough

Europe has a goal: 25% organic farmland by 2030. It's not just a number, it's a commitment to healthier soils, cleaner water, more biodiversity, and a food system that works for future generations.

The demand is there. Consumers spent €52 billion on organic food in 2022, and that number keeps growing. Farmers are interested. Policymakers are pushing. The science is clear.

So why is Europe still stuck at just 10%?

Because wanting to go organic isn't the same as knowing how.

Farmers tell us they're ready to transition, but they can't find clear answers. They hear about subsidies, but don't know which ones apply to them. They want technical guidance, but it's buried in reports they'll never read, written in languages they don't speak, scattered across institutions they've never heard of.

The knowledge exists. It's just not reaching the people who need it.

Meanwhile, researchers produce valuable findings that never leave the lab. Advisors are overwhelmed and can't reach everyone. Consumers want to support organic but don't understand what it really means. Businesses struggle to connect supply with demand. And policymakers set targets without hearing what's actually happening on the ground.

Everyone is working toward the same goal, but in silos.
